February 29th
What happens if your birthday is on the 29th of Feb....?
|
February 29 is known as Leap Day.
If you're born on Leap Day, you celebrate your birthday every year just like everyone else (but not on the 29th). However, every fourth year (except as described below) you do get to celebrate your birthday on Leap Day. February 29 exists only in a Leap Year, which is defined as a year whose digits are evenly divisible by 4 (except years that are evenly divisible by 100 (unless they are also evenly divisible by 400)). |
And you'll have to wait until 2012 for the next leap year/leap day. :)
