Political Cartoons
There are some political cartoons that I don't understand, and I need to type a paragraph explaining them and a paragraph on whether or not I agree or not.
I'll start with one cartoon at a time. There's this one cartoon that depicts a dinosaur holding a newspaper which reads, "Dinosaurs in Trouble" and the 3 dinosaurs on there represent the 3 car companies, Ford, GM, and Chrysler. Here is the paragraph explaining what it means....please check for errors and also please give hints and advice. This cartoons shows that the 3 main car companies are in trouble. Each dinosaur on the newspaper represent each car company. .....please help....I can't think of what else to write! |
If you want to understand political cartoons, you will have to take a look to newspaper headlines and search for the names depicted in those cartoons.
Recently, biggest car producers have asked for financial support from the US government, in order to avoid closing down. Traditionally, they had been the strongest pillars of productive economies and they had survived many crisis, but now they faced real danger to perish. |
okay
I made a little mistake. I only have to write about 2 favorite cartoons. I don't understand this part.....read this. 3. Mount your favorite two cartoons to write about on the first 2 pages. Mount the last 3 on the next pages. Type the general topic beneath each and every cartoon. 4. There will be one cartoon per page, per side. 6. Explain the first two cartoons fully in the first paragraph. #3: okay, so I put a cartoon on each sheet of paper... #4 What does it mean by "per side"? On both sides of a paper? in #3 it says to put on the first 2 pages.... #6 Does it mean in the first paragraph I have to explain BOTH cartoons? or separately? I'm confused :-( |
someone please help! Before tomorrow!!!!

# 4 just one cartoon per page, that's it. can be on either side on each of the first 2 pages. # 6 both cartoons on first paragraph. |
okay more of #6: Then double space between the paragraphs and begin the second paragraph stating if you agree or disagree with the cartoon.
Is it just ONE or BOTH? I think it's one but why not both? Why one? |

the teacher? Naw! :wicked: |
to clear it out: I write two paragraphs about the first one, then another two paragraphs about the second one, with the same format. My teacher told me that.

What is a political cartoon?
What is it for? You maybe speak about the political from U.S.A. |
first of all do you know what a cartoon is?
it's a cartoon that the cartoonists (ones that made it) poke fun at politics and stuff. Maybe I should let the others explain. :-) |

You made the mistake or she did it? What you do now is to write: 2 paragraphs for the first cartoon. The first one will be to explain the cartoon and the second one to agree or disagree with it ( I guess you have to write of WHY you dis/agree :-) Do the same for the second cartoon. |
she made it clear to us that I write two paragraphs about the first cartoon, the first paragraph explaining it and the second whether or not I agree and why (you're right).
But she didn't say that in the first paragraph we have to explain both cartoons. so I write the same thing about the second one. So I guess it rules out that sentence. She didn't notice it :P |
I don't know what cartoon is.
I'm sorry please you tell me more about it. |
