Please, can any english speaker put an example with "track"?

I understand that lane is carril de una carretera and rail carril del tren (in spain we use raíl or vía more than carril when speaking about trains). But what about track?

More questions: How do you say in english "carril-bici" and "carril-bus"

A track...well runners run on tracks sometimes, right?

In stadiums? Ok, so in spanish we call it "calles": El atleta español es el de la calle 4.

The use of the word lane in some countries as the mine is used for express a part of the street or avenue.

For example in Mexico the people is habitual call lane right to the street or a big avenue.

If you come to the Mexico you immediately see that the people speak between them,. When they are driving you will listen please you take the lane right or left. Then I know that the word lane can come of other meanings for example as you have said before. The word lane is used to say the lane of a train.

I don't know or I haven't the correct words for doing me understand well about it.

The missing meaning of carril = track is a track or rut left by the wheels of a vehicle. This can be called a carril. I don't know if the word is used like that in Spain.

bike lane / bicycle lane, bus lane
