Here in Carmen the spring get very late. Because we ever has a weather with much cold. Carmen mostly make warmth. But this year the climate is very crazy sometimes raining also sometimes it make warmth. But the spring does not arrive to my grounds.


I don't know the climate change has arrived. And it soon will affect us.

Early or late it will happen.

nos <> nosotros
The former is an object pronoun. The latter is a subject pronoun. You can entirely omit the subject pronoun, since the conjugated verb has the person encoded in it. So, instead of nos tuvimos, write nosotros tuvimos or just tuvimos.

Understanding that, Crotalito's correction may make a little more sense. He may have thought the first nos was a misspelling of no.

I suggest the following:
Elaina, aquí tuvimos suerte/fuimos afortunados. Para muchas personas había mucha lluvia y viento ayer, pero aquí no tanto.

Me gusta vivir en Washington, DC. El tiempo está mejor que viví en Bufalo, Nueva York. En Bufalo, nevó mucho mucho mucho mucho! En Washington, DC, el tiempo está apacible muchos los dias. La primavera llega adelantada cado año, y el invierno llega tarde cado año. :)

A more common way to say the weather is better (here) than in ... is:
Hace mejor tiempo (aquí) que en ...

Thanks, Rusty! One quick question ... I wanted to say that the weather is "mild" here in DC. Are all of those words used for "mild", or is there one in particular?

I believe they can all be translated as mild.

Agradable literally means agreeable, but weatherwize it means mild. I think Washington, DC in the summer is an inferno unless you're in the leafy Northwest part of DC, but even there it's kind of steamy.

Okay, you're right. DC is definitely a steam bath for about 6 weeks in the summer. But keeping in mind that I lived for 28 years in Buffalo, the entire rest of the year is MILD by my estimation. The LOOOOOONG Spring and the LOOOOOONG Fall weather ... MILD weather ... it's ALL good for me. Besides - I'm a school teacher with summers off. So when the summer weather is beastly, I decide that my mother needs a summer-time visit. In Buffalo, you wear a jacket in the evenings in July & August. :)

Me gustaría vivir en un sitio donde siempre fuera primavera. Bueno, no exactamente pero que el clima fuera agradable, muy agradable. Fresco de noche (65 grados Farenheit) y 70-75 grados F durante el día. Con un viento mas o menos de 5-10 millas p/h. La presión barométrica en los 40, y la humedad en el aire (20). Mucha vegetación, agua limpia, no smog, cielo azul. Puede llover 1 vez a la semana.

Y un ser amado a mi lado............

I don't know! I've never been there. Is there humidity due to being a coastal city?

I don't like it humid, ever! Also, I wouldn't want to be living in a place that might end up sinking because of an earthquake.

Well, I doubt that we'll ever have a major earthquake. But if you don't like humidity. Ever. Then you're not going to like DC from about May 15 through Sept. 1. It can be 102(F) with 98% humidity ... like walking through a sauna bath. It's like that because our founding fathers thought it would be a good idea to put our nation's capitol on top of a swamp. Constitution Ave used to be a canal. (When you visit here, imagine it.... they still have a canal house along the way!) The swamp-like weather continues. We don't typically have to worry about our water table or water shortages! :)
