to improve = to get better

Only the verb get should be conjugated. Better is an adjective.

Your English improves every day.
Your English gets better every day.
Your English is improving every day.
Your English is getting better every day.
Your English improved this week.
Your English got better this week.

Your English has gotten better these last few months.
