learning about futbol mexicano

I want to learn about Mexican football, my favorite team is the Xoloiztcuintles from Tijuana. From what I understand the Xolos may move up to the premier division next season.

Who likes basketball? = ¿A Quién le gusta el basquetbol?
Who does like basketball?

In Spanish it can be either fútbol, or futbol, with the spoken stress on either the first or second syllable respectively. It depends on the area you're in.

In addition, "football" in the UK/Australia etc, refers to Association football, which is what we call soccer in the US.

I was looking at the calendar of games of the xoloizcuintles and saw that the last one is on May 18. Is that it until the next season starts next January? I was hoping to go to Tijuana to watch a soccer match, but I won’t be able make any of the games before May.

Are there any other competitions besides the Clausura 2009?

please correct my Spanish
