insurance premium = prima de seguro
payout = pago (there might be another insurance-specific term that I'm not aware of)

David already helped you correctly. I would like to add that:

payout=pago or cancelar.

Indemnidad is payout.
I think tarifa can be used for premium.

No cuando se habla de seguros. Lo que David dijo es como se usa y como lo conozco.

insurance premium = prima de seguro

tarifa es solo tariff.

They make the payout of the indemnity.

The word indemnity makes me think of the Godfather, especially coming from someone in NYC. :)

I think of "Double Indemnity" a melodrama in which a life-insurace payout
doubles if the death occurs on a train. I bet you could imagine that an
accidental death occurrs on a train as a result;). Another great movie.

And yes, now that you put that phrase there, it should be used as compensation!
