Vacío

This is a discussion thread for the Daily Spanish Word for May 27, 2009

vacío (adjective) — empty. Look up vacío in the dictionary

Empty meaning vacio.

Pitcher- Jarra.

Therefore I ca apply these words in my examples that I going write in this moment.

For accident my computer eraser the data files that I had in my desktop yesterday and well, now my desktop is empty.

My wife did one pitcher full to orange's juice.

I hope these examples is not wrong, if I have mistakes please you feeling to free to correcting me.

I appreciate your support.

By accident, my computer erased the data files that I had in (I'd use on) my desktop yesterday and, well, now my desktop is empty.

My wife did one pitcher full to orange's* juice.

My wife made one pitcher full of orange juice.

*(Orange's juice would mean it is the juice of the orange, which is technically correct, but we'd just say "orange juice", as that's what we call that drink).

I hope that helps.

We actually can use "take" in that capacity in English aswell, though I think it's a bit more coloquial. (I can't spell that word!)
