Soltar tacos
 
Has anyone heard of this phrase, or what it means?

Sí creo que esta frase significa decir palabrotas "to curse/use bad language"

¿Podría ser que en este caso "tacos = labios"?

Soltar tacos = loose lips (los cuales las dejan pasar muchas las palabrotas)

I have heard/read the word before, in Chile we use it as montón :)

Right, it is a pile/bunch and taco means also that...colloquially speaking...:)

Taco means montón, so we can say "un taco de tonterías...) meaning un montón de tonterías. We never use it to mean swearing.

Pues aquí se dice: suelta un montón de tacos (= dice muchas palabrotas). En chileno sería: suelta un montón de montones ;)

En chile podemos decir, solto un taco de palabrotas. Aunque ahora ya usamos más tracalada que taco. To esto es muy mal español. :D

Todos los días se aprende algo. En la vida había oído esa expresión. :D

Aquí nomás se dice "ser malhablado/grosero", "decir/soltar palabrotas/majaderías/groserías"...

"Taco" is a sacred word here. ;)

It's only used for food, soccer shoes and (as a concession) billiard cues. :D

Las botas de fútbol tienen tacos en la suela para agarrar al cesped. Parece lógico que se llamen tacos.:)

También chile se usa ser mal hablado o grosero. Pero ¿dónde está el chiste en hablar correctamente el español? :rolleyes:
