"Jugar a dos bandas" Una persona juega a dos bandas cuando engaña a dos personas a la vez y no necesariamente en el terreno sexual.

A double-dealer is a person who says one thing, but does another. This is the same as 'talking out of both sides of one's mouth'.

'To play both sides' can be understood in the sexual way, where it means to be bisexual, but it can also mean to have conflicting interests (like in the sports example sosia gave). A double agent (spy) would also be playing both sides.
'To swing both ways' is almost always understood as meaning a bisexual person.

'To play the field' is going out with (dating) more than one person at a time.
