Rusty help.:impatient:

I don't think we have a dicho for this in English.
You can say: Don't pay attention to him. It will only encourage him. Ignore him and he will go away. |

One can also say "hacerle caso al loco es engrandecerlo", but I don't think I've ever heard an equivalent in English, except in some forum-jargon "Don't feed the trolls". :)

There are some that either can be translated, or have a similar one in English..: http://cogweb.ucla.edu/Discourse/Pro...h-English.html

A couple of options:
To give the cold shoulder To damn with faint praise |

"There's no worse disdain than to ignore" would be a more or less literal translation, but then again, it is not in the list of English sayings, like a lot more of them, so in my modest opinion, Rusty's options come closer.

Other good options for this would be:
Don't feed the trolls. (used a lot on the internet) Don't add wood to the fire. These essentially say that the best way to get rid of a troublemaker is to ignore them. |
