to take for granted pero no estoy seguro como se puede usar en un frase. Se puede decir, Dimos por hecho que siempre haría sol en el verano.

Otro sinónimo sería asumir, asumió que haría sol etc...

dar por hecho = take for granted or take it as a done deal
