Como se puede traducir cuando empezó a hablar delante de todos, se creció de tal forma que dio una charla increible.

hi robin - "se crecio", in this context, i would loosely translate to: "when
speaking in public he Became so Inspired that he delivered an unbelievable speech.".

Sometimes we use it in context like " Cuando esta con su madre su crece" como si su madre lo diese confianza y deja de ser timido o tener miedo. Hay más contextos.
