Armar/montar una buena/la de San Quintín

In English? En español significa montar un revuelo bastante fuerte.

Ok I am not a native speaker. :)

But how about ' to raise a stink'? ot ' to make a stink' ?

Quote:

Verb1.raise a stink - take strong and forceful action, as to object or express discontent; "She raised hell when she found out that she would not be hired again"

or:
' to make a fuss' (perhaps more English than American?:))
Quote:

2. complaint or objection: it was silly to make a fuss over seating arrangements
http://www.thefreedictionary.com/make+a+fuss

or even:
' to raise hell'
(this one is quite strong though..)

I think you´re on the ball, despite the fact that you´re not a native of the language.
Thank you.

TO raise hell is the closest to the Spanish expression.
To make a fuss over sth is quite soft.
