I think I have forgotten the rules for this when there is a list of nouns with an adjective following.

I was tranlslating something like this: Your insurance will determine any future payment or denial.

What is best: determinará cualquier pago o negacion futura.
cualquier pago o negación futuros.

What about: Era un hombre de presencia y porte atractivo (os?)
Era un hombre de porte y presencia atractiva (os?)


Another person suggested "futuro" in the above example. It seems like everyone has a different opinion.

This is the same question of another thread. If you have more than one noun you must be very careful when adding adjectives. When writing, above all in formal writing, ambiguity must be avoided at all (it's a basic rule in writing), unless you're a master in ambiguity (and the medal for ambiguity can only be given to a few writers -in my opinion, of course). To avoid ambiguity, you must place the adjective before the noun, for instance:

Era un hombre de atractivo porte y poderosa presencia.

If you don't do like this, you must give the attributes of the adjective to both nouns, in feminine if both of them are feminine and in masculine if one or both of them are masculine:

Era un hombre de porte y presencia atractivos.
Era un hombre de elegancia y presencia atractivas.
Era un hombre con un dominio y un poderío asombrosos.

The other sentence would be:

Determinará cualquier pago o negación (isn't it negociación?) futuros.

Se entendería mejor así: determinará cualquier pago o negación del mismo en el futuro.
