Another SAT question
 
Part of the following sentence is underlined; beneath the sentence are five ways of phrasing the underlined material. Select the option that produces the best sentence. If you think the original phrasing produces a better sentence than any of the alternatives, select choice A.


At the airline, their pilots were angry with the prospect of seeing their pension plans replaced with less generous versions, vowed to use legal means to fight such a move.

Is it #3? "Pilots at the airline, angered at ...." It makes sense...

Yes, I think this is the desired answer.
An English examiner should realise that alternatives unlike options can only come in pairs!
