Llevarse un berrinche

Llevarse un berrinche

significa llevarse un disgusto. ¿ Cómo se diría en inglés?

I think this means: to carry a grudge or to hold a grudge against somebody.

María José August 07, 2009 06:31 AM

No, Poli. A berrinche is a tantrum or as was said before un disgusto.

poli August 07, 2009 06:34 AM

Oh, thanks Maria for you correction. So I guess it means to throw a tantrum.

María José August 07, 2009 09:04 AM

Depends on the contest: it can be to throw a tantrum or in the case of a grown-up to be extremely upset (in this second case it would be less negative).

to carry a grudge or to hold a grudge against somebody

In Spanish we say tenersela guardada a alguien.
Guardar rencor a alguien

Tomisimo August 07, 2009 10:53 AM

to throw a tantrum
to throw a temper tantrum

In Mexico, it's "hacer (un) berrinche".

to carry/hold a grudge against someone can also be "estar sentido con alguien"
