I'm not sure if I should be posting this here or elsewhere? If elsewhere feel free to move this post. :)

Since I have upgraded to IE version 8 a couple of days ago I have been struggling a bit with the drop down menu of the accents. (I use vista by the way, IE is my standard OS) :sad:

That is, it' s a lot less stable then before it seems, it won't stay 'dropped down'/ unrolled and sometimes I have to double click or try it 4-5 times before I can select the appropriate accent.

I was just wondering if other people experienced or reported similar problems? I have not been having problems with dropdown menu's in general since, and it worked fine with me on my previous IE version.

It' s not a big issue or anything, just thought maybe I should mention it - maybe more people are experiencing this too. :)

Do you experience the same problem when you click the "fonts" or "sizes" menus?

Well with respect to the fonts-menu: it seems I sometimes need to try twice before I can get it to drop down (either on the top or at the bottem of the list, though in this small test I did it seems to occur more often when selecting a font at the top of the list than at the bottem). However once it works I can select the lettertype and it seems to be working without any problem. :)

I don't know however if this was the same in the previous IE version I used because I hadn't used it before.:)

As for the lettersize menu, this seems to be working just fine without any problems. :)

I have IE 8 and Windows Vista and I don't have that problem... Hmmm

You should to use Google Chrome is less complicate its use.

Oh I forgot to mention: I have a similar problem with the colours menu. It won't stay open long enough for me to select a colour unless I repeatedly click it or try a second or third time to open de menu. Sometimes this doesn' t work and using colours is not possible.

My drop down accent menu works well when I can find it. It is just a clear empty patch until I click it.:confused:

I'm downloading IE8 now to see if I can replicate the problem.

It seems something changed in my resolution settings upon the upgrade to IE8. I had not changed the setting myself nor noticed it because it wasn't a big change on my 19'' screen. But I have now changed the 75% to 100% zoom and this has helped quite a bit concerning the instability of the drop down menus I mentioned before. It's still not always working right away but it is a lot better than it was with the other screen-resolution. :)
