Peter Pan

Peter Pan

The quotes that Sosia uses as his signature have reminded me of one of my favourite quotes ever. This is what J.M. Barrie says about childhood:
"All children, except one, grow up. They soon know that they will grow up, and the way Wendy knew was this. One day when she was two years old she was playing in the garden, and she plucked another flower and ran with it to her mother. I suppose she must have looked rather delightful for Mrs Darling put her hand to her heart and cried, ‘Oh, why can’t you remain like this for ever!’ This was all that passed between them on this subject, but henceforth Wendy knew that she must grow up. You always know after you are two. Two is the beginning of the end."

Two is the beginning of the end.. how sad.. ;)

I really enjoyed Barrie's work. Did you see the movie too with
Johnny Depp and Kate Winslet (Finding Neverland)? :)

sí es triste. Es decir que nosotros mismos sólo estamos esperando morir:(. Pero también después de leer se quiere disfrutar más la vida mientras estamos viviendo:):)

Jessica August 14, 2009 03:30 PM

Yes, it's worry for me, because I have never liked the word die.

Don't be so sad......remember,

You don't stop playing because you're getting old,
you're getting old because you stopped playing

Unfortunately, society sees older people who like to laugh and live and love and play as "old fools".

I don't want to grow up, ever.............

:p:p

Ah me too I saw it in the cinema and twice later on tv :D

But I confress I like films with J. Depp in them especially in cooperation with Tim Burton (maybe I like the magic /surreal :D) such as 'Edward Scissorhands', but also 'Ed Wood' (that one cracks me up every time..) and 'Sleepy Hollow' (one of my alltime favourites..).

I'm really looking forward to seeing him play The Mad Hatter ...(I heard there was an 'Alice' in the making).. :D

Not in the least because of all the gorgeous wonderful chocolate being made in it as well.. :D

But this film too has a touch of magic & surrealism.. :p (I especially love the scene where one woman is complaining about the lack of sexual appetite of her husband until she gives him these chocolates..:D :D)

I disagree. You can't help growing old, but you can help growing up. Remember to believe in fairies, otherwise they wil die. I believe in fairies. Creo en haras.
¡Viva Campanilla , Hara Rebelda! Long live Tinkerbelle the rebel fairy!
I like both your self portraits
