'silver lining'

How would you translate this expresion and where does it's meaning comes from? I just can't imagine it.

"Every cloud has a silver lining."

Thanks.

No hay mal que por bien no venga
The origin of the phrase is traced to John Milton's 'Comus' (1634) with the lines,
“ Was I deceiv'd, or did a sable cloud
Turn forth her silver lining on the night?[3]
