They're very funny and they can help you when you need to improve your own language, in the likely of people use that cards to learn the numbers in Spanish.

Sí , supongo que se los llama "tarjetas con vocabulario". En inglés es "flashcards". Es bueno para revisar tu español o en tu caso inglés:):)

You see, I can better that claim. You can speak Spanish/English in a matter of hours (less than 24hours) :-)

Really it's very interesting, more when you want to learning faster a language.

I'd like to have a package of that cards that way, I can play with my wife and so in the same time, I can learn English.

Well, you see, in matters such as claiming to do this in a certain period of time, is so easy.

There was an add, here in a local paper that read: "learn English with us, for XX amount and you will be speaking English in two weeks, guaranteed!

All those type claims are true. If you don't know anything in say, Yugoslavian .

I can type this, which I am not sure if they are correctly spelled...

Kako sté = How are you

Dobro jutro = good morning

etc

If you can read, write and sat this, then you ARE speaking Yugoslavian... right?

I think there's a big difference between speaking a language and speaking a few words or sentences. I can speak a few words or sentences in Dutch, for instance, but I'm not able to speak Dutch, since I can't give expression to my thoughts. I can do it in English (not like a native, of course, but I can express what I want to say -or this is my intention-). Knowing (to know, here? :thinking: ) the most common sentences in a language is useful, but not enough ;)

I've doubts about your knowledge in this language, I speak about English.

I have seen that you have a great knowledge in English, at least you showed that in your last post, I would like to know if you have a quite practice in the language, I mean, Do you have much experience with the language?. You're able to speak the language with fluency, at this time, I'd like to practice my knowledge with someone, because I'm feeling that am remain me with the language, because only I write in this place and I don't write in anyplace more, therefore that is my doubt, thank you very much for your answer, I hope your commentary.

All That I said was: It is easy to claim stuff... the other person's mind makes up for the rest....

Knowing :thumbsup: ('To Know' is not grammatically wrong by the way, to use in this case I think, but 'knowing' is used more frequently).

Well according to this definition I would also speak Turkish, Greek and Italian then.. :lol: :lol: I can speak some and it ain't Yugoslavian.. :lol: :lol:

It's all a matter of definition & degree.. and yes I too agree with what Irma wrote on the subject... In fact it annoys me to hear people claim they can speak a language and then when you hear them speak it, they 'molest' it.. :sad:

Some Dutch claim they speak German, but really all it is is translated Dutch and it sounds pretty horrific to me to be honest.. (the same happens vice versa by the way..:rolleyes: )
