TEner mucho cuento : ej,: AYer Susana llamó al trabajo diciendo que se encontraba mal y que no acudía al trabajo. Más tarde estaba tomando copas con su amigas. Tiene mucho cuento.

Echarle mucho cuento al asunto : Susana le echo mucho cuento ayer, ya que no fue a trabajar diciendo que estaba enferma.

She's a fibber.
She's lies (this is a harsher term).
She's quick with an alibi.

Another version of the Spanish expression: tienes más cuento que Calleja.

A bit harsher still (maybe too much in this case, not sure how strong this expression is in Spanish?) perhaps:

' She lies like no tomorrow'.
or:
' She' s always telling fibs' (like Poli mentioned.;))

En Holandés nosotros decimos:
'Ze vertelt veel smoesjes' (She tells a lot of fibs/excuses - 'smoesjes' is pronounced more or less like 'smooches' ..:D )
'Ze liegt dat ze barst' (>> 'Ya miente hasta que se rompa..'/'She lies until she bursts')

O 'slang' :'Wat een excuustruus!' ('¡Qué tía tonta teniendo mucho cuento!' :confused: :D 'Truus' es como una 'tía' bastante tonta :p)

Si quieres sonar educado, dice "he/she fabricates excuses"

Eso nunca he oído antes, pero es muy gracioso.
