Bumper Sticker

Bumper Sticker

The other day as I was driving in to work, I was behind this "ritzy" car that had a bumper sticker that read:

"As individual fingers we can be easily broken
but together we make a mighty fist"

That is so true.....and so inspiring......

:applause::applause:

In other words :

La unión hace la fuerza.
What is ritzy?

Jessica September 12, 2009 09:28 AM

Very true. I like that quote.

pjt33 September 12, 2009 09:43 AM

The fingers in a fist are also easily broken. That's why boxers wear gloves.

Jessica September 12, 2009 09:45 AM

so you mean that quote is false

No not really. The glove prevents the fingers from being pulled apart. It also prevents both your hand and your opponent from getting too badly damaged.:)

It prevents your hand from getting too badly damaged, but thereby enables you to damage your opponent more.

For an example of someone breaking a finger when punching without gloves, see Jeremy Clarkson vs Piers Morgan.

"As individual fingers we can be easily broken
but together we make a mighty fist"

in my case
"As individual fingers we can be easily broken
but together we make ......... let's call it a fist" :D
As pjt33 stayed, my fist is no "Mighty" and can easily be broken.
