Ponerse morado
It means to stuff yourself with food Is there an idiom in English for that?
|
I think 'to stuff yourself' is already an idiom of sorts. ;)
(Eventhough 'go stuff yourself' for example means 'get lost', 'get stuffed') Perhaps 'to wolf down' but this is more to eat a lot in very little time (when being extremely hungry for instance). 'To eat like a pig' or 'to pig out'. :) 'To binge', ' binge-eating'. Quote:
The latter one can be used more broadly however, also pertaining to spending lavish or excessive amounts of money e.g. |
Thank you, your knowlwdge is infinite.

"Ponerse morado" in Mexico is not to be breathing.
Juan dejó de respirar hasta que se puso morado y luego cayó mareado al piso. Juan stopped breathing until his face turned purple and then he fell dizzy on the floor. |
"Comer como un cerdo" también se dice aquí :D
