Real Life Practice

1. Read the local Spanish newspaper if you have one. If not go online and find one. Pick one that is geared towards the American Latino community so that you are familiar with the topics and you will already have an idea of what's going on.

2. Watch the news and soaps in Spanish.

3. Have kids? Read really easy children's books to them. See spot run. Watch Dora the Explorer.

4. Go to areas of town where most of the people speak Spanish and buy your groceries, go out to eat or just shop.

The biggest thing is getting out and speaking to natives and soaking in the environment. Find opportunities to get out and interact with native speakers. There are tons in every state so don't miss out.

Good advice.

You forgot movies-- there are lots of good movies in Spanish.

Definitely some good advice LeTutor. Use every chance you get to try to get input in your target language.
