literally, "...if the bull doesn't get me.".

so "...if nothing goes wrong." ("...wonderin' where the lions are..." ha.)

Pillar el toro means Well this is difficult to explain, me va a pillar el toro si no hago los deberes, meaning sth is going wrong, I´ll get grounded or sth like that.

I think that works perfectly. You might also try "to catch some flak", "to get raked over the coals", "to catch some heat", etc.
