Estar en su terreno
Estar en su terreno means to be in their own territory, I don´t know if this is right or you say it differently. Thanks.
|
¿Contexto? En fútbol sería "To play at home". Si se trata de geopolítica tu traducción está bien. Si es el terreno de un particular es mejor traducirlo land o property.
|
El contexto sería por ejemplo en un trabajo, si eres ponente de un curso a profesores, estás en su terreno porque son profesores también.

I see Robin is still asking good questions.. :D
Maybe 'On your own turf' ..? :) Quote:

In addition to Empanada's excellent suggestion:
to fit right in to be in the same league to feel at home/at ease to be in one's (own) environment to be on one's (own) ground |
Wellcome back empanadarica, where have you been all this time? Thanks for your contributions.

I've been a little busy/preoccupied lately so unfortunately didn't have enough time for Spanish or being on the forum. But I hope to brush up and start improving my Spanish again which I have every faith I may, having great help from all of you, as per always ! :D  |
