Least said, soonest mended

I think this one is easy. I'd say in Spanish: menos hablar y más trabajar. But here my problem is that "least". Is it grammatically correct?

Thanks :)

I don't think that is what it means. It concerns saying what you think when this offends somebody or causes an argument. Typically an argument between married people . If you lose your temper and say something 'unwise' then the time and effort taken to repair the damage can be huge. (I know!)

The less you say in anger, the more quickly the damage can be repaired.

This is nothing like your menos hablar y más trabajar :)

Least (superlative) - soonest (superlative). grammatically correct.

Thanks, Perikles, I was confused. I translated as "menos dicho, más arreglado" and I was thinking in somebody repairing something (as a car, for instance). You're right, that suits perfect.

Thanks again :)

It´s like saying en boca cerrada no entran moscas. Or quien mucho habla, mucho yerra.
