Good words fill no sack
what is the equivalent in Spanish?
|
¿Las palabras no alimentan?
|
I haven't heard this term before. Is this a phrase used in Britain?--

Many proverbs are either narrowly regional or archaic. I bet that if any of us were to read a dictionary of English proverbs we wouldn't know the majority, but would understand them.
PD Según worldofquotes.com, "Good words fill no sack" es un proverbio español que ha sido traducido al inglés. |
I just found it in Wikiproverbs.
They translated it into Spanish, and the Spanish proverb sounds beautiful and wise: "Palabras y plumas el viento lleva."(unless it's written of course. then it becomes libel:shh:) |
