@Poli: I find both, the study and the article a bit idle, but true.
At first I thought it was just that I'm getting old and therefore tend to be more scandalized by younger people's behaviour, but it seems the phenomenon actually calls attention from sociologists. There are cursing formulas and double-meaning expressions that were "exclusive" of uneducated men, but lately even supposedly well-educated women use them with no apparent sense of shame. It's an unacceptable situation if you ask me, but there doesn't seem to be any turning back. |
Si alguien tiene tiempo, hay un buen libro por Steven Pinker (un lingüista y psicólogo famoso) llamado The Stuff of Thought: Language as a window into human nature. El capítulo 7 está entregado al asunto y al estudio del maldecir. Es muy interesante.
