Perder los papeles
English?
It means to loose your temper more or less. |
Look here.
|
Hmmm... so what if you would literally like to say this? I.e. like you lost your 'papers' such as passport, visa and other important papers?
Would you say the same? Or is there another way to say this to avoid possible confusion? :D |
Se me perdieron los papeles. Safest way to say it.
If you don't look like you've lost it (your temper), the aduana will understand that you've lost your papers :( (and that you're in a heap of trouble). :D |

In Spain, we usually say " He pérdido mis documentos" Or la documentación, that papers thing is more like an anglicisim or francosism ???
