real and true friends are hard to find, but are a real treasure

I believe the original title of the film with Bud Spencer and Terence Hill, which was translated as the title of this thread was originally "A Friend is a Treasure" (1981)
In Italian, "Chi trova un amico, trova un tesoro". :)

Hey, it reminds me too, the song that goes, "algo se muere en el alma cuando un amigo se va..." (But that's another subject, even if somewhat related.)

¿Trova = tener o encontrar?

Rusty July 13, 2010 07:43 PM

trovare = to find (encontrar)

JPablo July 13, 2010 07:49 PM

Así es, la versión italiana equivale a literalmente a "quien encuentra a un amigo, encuentra un tesoro".

The English one: "Un amigo es un tesoro".
