Echarse a temblar

Welcome back.
I would say: When society shows signs of increased stupidity, it's time to worry. (I use increased signs because society always seems kind of stupid--but it's true that when it gets noticeably stupider, it gets worrisome.)

Hey, Jane!! I just happened to stumble upon this under the "new threads", and the mouse-over showed me my name. LOL!! :) GREAT to see you back here. Can't wait to get you back into all of the discussions that we have......... :rose:

The sentence means that one has to fear that society lacks education.

My proposal:

When society becomes idiotic, one has to start trembling.

Ooooh - you had to know that this one would grab my attention. I need to remember this, because I totally believe it!!

Jane, where did you see this? If it's in an article or something, is the rest just as interesting?

Elaina December 08, 2009 11:57 AM

Welcome back Jane........you have been missed indeed!

I agree with all the translations that have been presented. And I also agree that none is more truer (bad English).....

Hello Jane, you've been a lot time out of the forums, only just I wanted to telling you Salute, and I wishing you good luck and fortune.

I know that perhaps you could be a lucky person.
