Llamo de la parte de mi madre

In English?
I call for my mother ?
Other ways to say llamo de la parte de.....?
Also:
Pásame a tu madre = pass me your mother ??

pjt33 December 13, 2009 07:10 AM

I'm calling on behalf of my mother.

Llamo de la parte de mi madre........(de cual parte de tu madre estas llamando?)

Shouldn't it be...

Llamo de parte de mi madre.... I'm calling on my mother's behalf

:)

@Elaina: I think it's a regional use of words... in Mexico it sounds better the way you said. :)

I think the article (el, la) is used less frequently in Latin American
Spanish. Do other forum members find this to be true?

irmamar December 13, 2009 11:07 AM

I'd say "llamo de parte de mi madre".

Is that a regionalism?
