Hi Matt!

*Are you stalking me?! (Kidding!) You just joined the Slashkey forum ... I go by my real name - Kelsey - over there and recognized your name and the post as it was very similar.*

There are so many wonderful people here that can really give you a lot of help.

I think you mean coincidence?

And I agree - it is a coincidence that it happened! But neat to recognize a name!

Yes neat I believe that it was merely coincidence.

I liked the word neat.

I didn't know as I should say it in English.

Thanks.

hermit December 22, 2009 02:01 PM

CJ/Crotalito - Right, "por casualidad" = "coincidentally" or "by coincidence".

And, "neat" is a neat word to know, ¿No?

CrOtALiTo December 23, 2009 01:55 PM

I found in the dictionary that neat is a slang in English that it means Neta.

In the another corrections is correct.

Thanks.

Jessica December 23, 2009 02:53 PM

La palabra neat tiene varios significados y incluye neta, o bien ordeando.
Pero en slang americanacerca 1954 y se usa todavía o sea menos neat
is algo muy mola o excepcionalmente buena.
Ejemplo:
Jose: Oye Luis, ayer compré un nuevo Mercedes Benz.
Luis: Neat! ¿Qué modelo es?

Otro singificado de neat es ena preparación de tragos alcólicos. Si
un cliente pide Scotch neat. singifica que no queiere tomarlo
con soda --tal vez con un cubo de hielo nada más

Ha - languages (and their nuances) are fun, don't you think? As a Brit, I always think something's wrong when someone asks me "What's up?", it seems close in meaning to "what's wrong?". Of course it's a standard greeting for Americans, and will no doubt become so here in the UK. Anyway, as a newcomer here, hope you have fun here. I certainly intend to do so! :)
