Is this a common usage?
What does it mean?

poner el reloj en hora :approx: to put the clock right (set it to the right time). Perhaps it means to try and be on time. :thinking:

to synchronize a clock, or something like that
"El mayordomo recorría la casa poniendo en hora los relojes"

PD: perikles has a better translation "to put the clock right "

It was in a newpaper article «Madrid se pone en hora con China»

I now thnk that in this context, it may mean gets in sync with.--- we use sync instead of syncronization in this case.

¿qué? Madrid y China no están en las mismas zonas horarias!!

Pero en el artículo están poniendose sinconizados culturalmente.

Madrid y China están en la misma zona horaria. Diría el menda.
