Hi, my name is Melaya. I've been teaching myself Spanish at home off and on for a couple of years. I have some Spanish speaking relatives and co-workers, so I get some real life exposure too.

I'm a AP mom to two kids. I like dancing, reading, music, homeschooling, cooking, concerts, simple living, working out, learning all kinds of random stuff, etc.

ASL is also your native language? I have been trying to learn it for years, but I don't get much practice so it slips away.

Thanks for the welcomes. I went to a school for the deaf until I was in 5th grade. So I know a decent amount of ASL, but I bet I could use some practice too. I rarely get to use it anymore.

Also trying to learn Hebrew (speaking it and understanding it for now, maybe reading and writing it later). My husband has a lot of family living in Israel, so it's something that would be useful for me to know.
