Poner pegas

I know it means to create obstacles, but I just came across it. It seems like a good term to know and I never knew it.

¿Y vds. no van a la dichosa chamba?

Entonces pone pega Chile parece poner las pilas. Entonces poner pegas en Chile no siginfica poner obstáculos.

A proposito, a mi poner pega y poner pegas suena diferente.

to create obstacles is the right one
to give sb grief
to put up roadblocks

Tb poner trabas en castellano.

"ponerle pega" = echarle ganas.

ponerse las pilas = start moving, get in gear, right?
