Los jugadores presienten ya la victoria.

Los jugadores presienten ya la victoria.

English: The players already predicted the victory. :?::?::?:

Perikles February 05, 2010 09:36 AM

presentir = to sense beforehand, as in presentiment of death.

The players already sense victory. :)

laepelba February 05, 2010 09:46 AM

Thanks!!

Presentar and presentarse have very different meanings.
Presentarse means to show up as in the following:
Se presentaron con síntomas de fiebre y tos.

Huh? I think that the verb here is "presentir". Isn't that different than "presentar"?

Yes. Probably poli needs more coffee this morning.

laepelba February 05, 2010 10:16 AM

Poli! Do as the Chilean guy says ... get some more coffee!!! :)

AngelicaDeAlquezar February 05, 2010 10:17 AM

I think poli wanted to underline that those are different verbs, since they can be easily confused. (Only one letter makes the difference) :)

AngelicaDeAlquezar February 05, 2010 10:31 AM

@Perikles: I guess that's why Poli wanted to point it out.
