Yo, y'all!

Loxley March 02, 2010 07:19 AM

Yo, y'all!

Yo! :D

So! The name's Henrik. Sometimes known as "the Pervert Adventurer", or "damn restless vagabond bastard" among friends. I'm from Sweden, is 23 years old, and love three things above everything else here in life; girls, anime and tequila. Yum, I say to all three!

I'm also bilingual, as I speak Swedish and English fluently. But really, everybody does that. So! I figured I should take the free time I have these days being unemployed, and make something of them. Thus, I decided to do what I failed to do in school, namely learn Spanish. And so, now I'm trying my best to do that, though I only started a day or so ago.

Oh, yea, I said I was a pervert adventurer. It's really true, y'know? :D I've got a nomadic spirit that would rival Boxcar Willy's - I even took classes in archaeology once so I could work as a marine archaeologist like Dirk Pitt.

I'm hoping one day I'll get to go to South- and Latin America and make good use of my not yet acquired Spanish skills. Before that, however, I'm planning to re-enlist with the Swedish military this fall, and go on a tour of duty as peacekeeper in Afghanistan on a six month rotation. Which is why, right now, I'm doing my best to work myself back into shape.

Oh, and my favorite subject of discussion is myself. :D

Well, that's all I've got for now. I look forward to getting to know y'all. :p

Loxley March 02, 2010 01:24 PM

Hey, George.

Thanks for the warm welcome. I shall most certainly follow your command and have fun here. :raisetheroof: And I'll probably be asking for help as well, when time comes, and try to partake in Spanish conversations. Whether I'll be able to make myself understood is another question though.

I'm working my way slowly back to shape, so it should be fine in time for the applications term when it comes up. The scary part is jogging, though. I hate jogging.

Well, I shall withdraw for now and get started with the studying of the day. Again, thanks for the welcome. :D

Crotalito, I shall most certainly try and partake in the conversations. I can already feel I'm doing a bit of progress in my Spanish. And for the record, I think your English is good, albeit maybe just a little bit rough. Good luck with the speaking part. I'm sure you'll do fine. ;)

Yes. I know that my English could be some rough in the intent, but anyway I try to do the best of me, when I'm writing in English sometimes I tend to forget the words and well as you know this language isn't my native tongue, but I appreciate the help that everyone gives me when I need that, now if you try daily in practice your skill Spanish, I believe that a short time, you would be able to speak and write the language.

Although sometimes it's hard for many person in the forums, because the language or at least a new language is like as the mathematics very complicated.:D

Loxley March 03, 2010 03:48 PM

That it is, and I always hated maths. But with the help of y'all, I'm sure I'll manage somehow. :D

I've always said that music is like maths and, therefore, easy. :D
