Tener una espinita clavada
COntexto:
De pequeño pudé ir a estudiar a Vancouver, pero no fuí, este verano he decidido ir durante dos meses porque tengo una espinita clavada. Significa: que tienes el deseo por cumplir algo que no cumpliste. ENGLISH? |
some unfinished business

Thanks it seems quite logical, don´t you have an expression with thorn in my heart?
|
We have an expression: a thorn in my side, but it doesn't mean unfinished business. It means a nagging problem or a nagging person. I have heard a Latina use the term postema for a person who is a thorn
in their side. ¿Se usa el termino postema en España? I don't believe we have a figurative term for unfinished business. |
The term is Spain is not used in that sense, it is translated like abscess. For a person I would say He is un peñazo.
