Es bastante complicado, la verdad.
En situaciones así suelo preguntar ¿Es tuyo/ suyo? En vez de decir "Excuse me, you dropped this"

Formal = caerse una cosa a tí
Informal = caerse una cosa a usted

(siempre me ayuda escribir en el forma infinitivo

General form: "caérsele algo a alguien"

(A mí) se me cayó el teléfono. -> I dropped the phone.
(A ti) se te caen siempre las cosas. -> You're always dropping things.
(A él) nunca se le cae nada. -> He never drops anything.
(A nosotros) se nos cayó el piano cuando lo subíamos por las escaleras. -> We dropped the piano when we were pulling it up the stairs.
(A ustedes) se les cayó la máquina de escribir, ustedes arréglenla. -> You dropped the writing machine, you fix it.
A esas chicas se les cayó la bolsa del supermercado. -> Those girls dropped the groceries bag.


I think this is a Mexican use only, but one can also use the verb "tirar (algo)"; however, it's not always interpreted as an accident.

Tiré el florero. -> I dropped the flower vase.
Tiraste el frasco! -> You dropped the flask!
Cuidado. Está tirando el café. -> Be careful. You're spilling the coffee.
Esperen. Estamos tirando la sal del saco. -> Wait. We're spilling the salt from the sack.
Disculpen, ustedes tiraron esta bolsa? -> Excuse me, did you drop this bag?
Sus perros siempre tiran mis macetas. -> Your dogs always drop my flowerpots.
