Word order in exclamatory sentences?

First of all, what is the Spanish for "exclamatory sentences"?

Second, about the word order. My book says the following:
Order: ¡ + verb + subject + object + !
Example: ¡Ganaron + el partido + los chicos!

Yet, isn't "los chicos" the subject of the sentence? So, either in the line that says "order" has the subject/object backwards, or the sentence does. Which?

oraciones exclamatorias
frases exclamatorias

You caught the mistake in the book, but I don't think it matters which is said first.
