Me hago cargo

Me hago cargo

ME hago cargo, hazte cargo

English?
Puede signigicar dos cosas:
1. Yo me ocupo de ello- I´ll take care of it.
2. Comprendo prefectamente lo que quieres decir, entiendo la gravedad del caso.

Is there a saying in English for both meanings?

I highly doubt it. "To take care of something" or "to realise something" sound very different in English, contrary to "hacerse cargo de algo" in Spanish... .

Para el primer caso se usa, no así para el segundo (que yo sepa).

I (will) take charge ...
