Saludos!

Me llamo Preston St. Pierre y tengo graduado de la Universidad de Fraser Valley. Quiero aumentar mi conocimiento de la idioma español. Tengo mucho a aprendar. Soy aquí practicar escritura y lectura. Haré errores muchos pero espero puedo mejorar con tu ayuda.

Me despido y espero tu respuesta.

Greetings!

My name is Preston St. Pierre and I am a recent university graduate who is looking to extend my limited knowledge of Spanish to the point of fluency. This will be a long journey as I don't know much currently. I will try to post regularly and hope that the more experienced people might help point out my mistakes, which will be numerous.

Thanks for your time everyone,
Preston

P.S. I will try to do all my posts in both Spanish and English so my meaning is clear.

Thanks for your time everyone,
Preston

Hola y bienvenido.

Thank you all for your replies. I realized in trying to phrase my response to this that I would be unable to express all the ideas in both Spanish and English, so I'm just going to say it in English. I'll try to learn from all the corrections that have been made to my compositions, now and in the future. I appreciate all the help I can get.

More importantly, I hope we can keep the laughter to a minimum during my pitiful attempts to communicate en español

On the contrary, keep on doing it in both languages, so it gives us the opportunity to correct you. That's how you are going to benefit the most.

You're welcome.

I don't believe that your attempts are pitiful and less that you are bad in the attempts, I believe that you should keep with the attempts and well just you give us the opportunity to correct you the times that it could be necessary.

Ah, I think I may have said it badly. I meant I was going to make that post in English only. I am posting in other threads in Spanish :) And I always welcome corrections.

Your statement was fine.

What I meant is to continue posting in both languages, and just in Spanish.

It is a good exercise, believe me. :)
