Hundreds of tourists from different European countries were waiting here Saturday for word on the ash cloud from an Icelandic volcano. PARIS, April 18 (Xinhua) -- Air travel to and from Europe faces further disruptions as most countries on the continent decided to extend flight bans into next week while carriers from other countries continued to cancel their flights to European destinations.
Meanwhile, the volcanic ash cloud from Iceland has spread further south and east towards Greece and Russia, amid fears of further eruptions.
France decided to shut the three airports in the Paris area and others in the north of the country until 8:00 a.m. (0600 GMT) on Monday. Italy also said it would not allow any flights in the north of the country until 0600 GMT Monday, while Belgium, Britain, Ireland and Germany shut their airspace until 1200 GMT Sunday.

Temo no poder votar porque normalmente mi voto de correo iría en avión.

Here 14 airports are closed in the North of Spain, even Barcelona and Mallorca. Many flights have been cancelled in all the country. Poor people those who are waiting for their flight!

Tenerife has about 20,000 people here on holiday who can't return home, and another 20,000 people somewhere who have booked holidays here and can't get here. The holiday industry here is in total chaos because nobody can predict if and when they can travel. :(

Good thing my family rarely go on vacation. Though I would love to go back to China
