I am going to study at Granada in September till May of next year.
I am looking for some good and relatively cheap/good value cellphone plans while I am there. Since I'm not really good at Spanish, I don't fully understand the sites so I was wondering if anyone can help me.

So.. I know it's going to be expensive

What I need is ... I guess a data plan, or an international data plan?

I was looking into either a Blackberry or Iphone
what I need is
1) a data or international data plan. because I heard with blackberries you can bbm internationally free of charge (using international data plan), but I'm not sure if I get data/internet with that
2) A gps/or a phone apps where I can download google map and use it

That's really all I need. Just internet anywhere, just not sure whether to use data or international data?

I don't know whether to buy the phone there with contract or just get the phones here (in Canada) first and get a data plan there (not sure if they allow that?) Because I am only there for like 9 months
