Can I construct a subjunctive sentence using Esperar?
 

¿Puede construir una sentencia/oracion por usando el verbo esperar? por ejemplo ¿puedo decir 'Espero que yo tenga tiempo escucharlos (los podcasts) durante el fin de semana. O espero que el tiempo sea bueno durante el fin de semana?

Sí, puedes:

Espero que el tiempo sea bueno.
Espero que llegue el fin de semana para ir a la playa
Espero que vengas a la fiesta.
Espero que apruebes el examen.

Look, you have two sentences:

A: yo espero que B
B: el tiempo es bueno, tener tiempo de escucharlos.

Subject of A = subject of B => infinitivo

(yo) Espero (yo) tener tiempo de escucharlos.
(yo) Espero poder (yo) estudiar este fin de semana.
(tú) Esperas (tú) ganar mucho dinero.

Subject of A :ne: subject of B => subjuntivo

(yo) espero que el tiempo sea bueno este fin de semana.
(yo) espero que (tú) vengas pronto.
(tú) esperas que (yo) te diga la verdad.

I think I understand, so the answer to my previous question is that you cannot use the subjunctive if talking about yourself i.e yo.

Instead of espero que yo tenga tiempo I use espero que tendré tiempo.

I don't think so. The idea is that if there is no change of subject, you use esperar + infinitive

Este año espero ir a Berlin
Francisco espera aprobar el examen
Esperamos recibir el dinero mañana

IF there is a change of subject, use esperar que + subjunctive

Elena espera que tú la ayudes.

Irma's examples of esperar + infinitive are 1st person singular, but it is not restricted to that, as my examples above show.

I hope you have time to listen the podcasts.

(The latter is using the subjunctive)
