Repetir el sujeto

Repetir el sujeto

May I repeat the subject in subordinated clauses? For instance:

He remembers when we visited the United States and he says that he's thinking of going back.

Thanks. :)

Yes indeed, and it helps to avoid ambiguity. :)

There aren't many times that we don't use a subject in English. I would say that the 2nd of the three "he"'s is optional, but the first and third are mandatory:

Quote:

He remembers when we visited the United States and (he) says that he's thinking of going back.

But I guess there's nothing wrong if I repeat it, is there?

That's fine - it's just a correct way to avoid repetition.

Thank you all. :)
