"Que nadie" superlative

Is this a commonly used superlative?

El es un cantante mejor que nadie

Soy mas alto que nadie

That type of stuff, is it common in Spanish?

Very common, indeed.

Yes. "Más (adjective) que nadie/nada" is very commonly used in Spanish.
It states that nothing/nobody can be compared to the subject.
